The «Clubs» were a symbol of money, power and glory. This suit also has a strong religious meaning, because of its reference to the crucifixion of Jesus. Erotic context is a part of the aesthetics of cards, too. Exaggerated parts of female body were portrayed in unpoetical way only to create an lustful image. The “Clubs” suit in our case is uniting all these three aspects, putting them into an ironic context.
