In the "Demolition of Efforts" series of collages, I'm posing with the hardware instruments to evoke feelings of power and control, as well as destruction. I had an urge to incorporate household items that aren’t according to common standards female appropriate. 
Posing with "manly" items symbolizes a struggle of how the home and society build following male standards. This destruction that metal hardware power tool alike the male standards brings into society is beyond description.
